I was not really paying attention to where I was going, but I got a full grasp of the situation when I suddenly went backwards into the parking lot. It hurt a great deal. I had no clue what had happened, but immediately there was a guy standing over me. He worked for the grocery store and he had a bottle of detergent in his hand. I rubbed my pants because they were wet and I realized that it smelled like cooking oil. The manager was scared that I would sue them, but they paid for the Redding chiropractor and that was good enough for me. At first I was not too worried about it though. Obviously going down on that asphalt was not fun and it hurt me, but I expected that it would go away with time. Instead it seemed to have gotten worse when I woke up the next morning.
The pain was not really so bad in comparison to the stiffness, which made it really difficult for me to get up and go. I had to get it warmed up in a hot shower and I realized that this was going to be something that I was not going to be able to put up with. I have to get up early most days and I want to be able to be ready to go to work around half an hour later, so I do not want to be spending half that long just getting the back loosened up. I did not know where to go, but I knew who to ask that question. My friend from the office told me exactly which chiropractor to go to, which was great since I had no clue which of them was less likely to maim me than the others were.
